A geriatric pharmacist specializes in medication for older adults. They understand how aging affects medication responses, drug interactions, and managing multiple conditions.
-
A PharmD, or Doctor of Pharmacy, is a professional doctorate degree required to become a licensed pharmacist. It's a graduate-level program focused on preparing individuals to practice pharmacy, encompassing medication management, patient care, and understanding the science of drugs. It's the standard degree for pharmacists, similar to an MD for doctors.
-
We are consultants, not a retail pharmacy.
We don't dispense pills; we provide:In-depth reviews: We look at the "big picture" of every medication.
Doctor Collaboration: We work with your medical team to optimize the regimen.
Personalized Plans: We create a roadmap specifically for your loved one’s health.
-
No, we're a consulting service and cannot prescribe.
However, we work closely with your loved one's doctor to suggest medication changes or deprescribing if needed.
-
We provide expert support for:
Seniors taking multiple medications (Polypharmacy).
Individuals with chronic conditions or recent hospital stays.
Anyone experiencing medication side effects or confusion.
Family Caregivers who need a professional partner to manage the "big picture.
-
Every audit includes a clinician-ready written summary and medication change recommendations. We can also communicate directly with prescribers when authorized.
-
Not directly. Many clients use HSA/FSA funds. Preventing one medication-related hospitalization often offsets the cost many times over.
-
We know caregiving is urgent. Here is our standard response time:
Within 48 Hours: Subscription Plans, Triage Calls, and Targeted Audits (often much sooner)!
Standard Audits: Typically completed within 7–14 days.
Urgent Audits: Available within 48–72 hours upon request.
-
An advocate provides a calm, objective perspective outside of your family dynamics. We offer expert recommendations so you can make confident, educated decisions without the emotional overwhelm.
-
You may benefit from an advocate if you:
Are managing complex medical treatments.
Feel uncomfortable or unheard in healthcare settings.
Struggle to organize schedules or track medications.
Feel overwhelmed by the healthcare system.
-
Polypharmacy is taking more than 5 medications, which is common in seniors. It increases the risk of interactions and side effects. We specialize in managing polypharmacy.
-
Deprescribing is safely reducing or stopping medications that may no longer be beneficial or could be causing harm. We can guide this process with your doctor.
